September 15, 2016 -

A5 South is excited to welcome Taylor McColskey to our coaching staff.

Taylor is in his 3rd season as an assistant coach with the Yellow Jackets where his primary responsibilities include training middle blockers and recruiting.

Taylor joined Georgia Tech from Jacksonville University.  In 2013, he helped the Dolphins improve to a 30-4 record from a 10-24 record a year prior, and win the 2013 Atlantic Sun Tournament. He assisted middle blocker Kylie Jacob to earn second team all-conference honors and earn all-tournament team accolades.

Prior to his tenure at Jacksonville, Taylor coached for a variety of clubs in the Florida region, including Ocean Breeze, Jupiter and Instinct Volleyball Club.

He served as an assistant coach for the boys USA Select A1 team at the 2013 USA High Performance Championships.

Taylor played two years (2007-2009) as a defensive specialist and outside hitter at King College in Bristol, Tenn. He graduated from Palm Beach State in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in supervision and management.
